Citrus Baby Blanket

Here's a second baby blankie I made for our wonderful Assistant Principal, Allison: Citrus cotton on one side and polka-dotted flannel on the reverse.

Tree Pincushion

For Jenny's birthday coming up, inspired by similar projects in Softies.

Dad's Old Toolbox

My dad bought a fancy new toolbox recently and gave his older one to my brother, who thus passed down to me an even older one that had originally been my dad's. After a good thorough cleaning and degreasing it is now filled with my kind of tools, the crafting kind.

Learning to Quilt

I bought the book Last Minute Patchwork and Quilted Gifts this Summer to learn the art of quilting. So far I've made two things from the book, a roll-up cozie for my crochet hooks and a set of quilted coasters I gave my parents for their anniversary.

Chair Covers

My parents gave me their dining room set when we moved into our new place in Soquel. Along with the chairs came cushions that were custom made to fit, but were in a country style pink and white gingham that I was not fond of (you can see it on the chair in the background). I made these covers to fit the cushions, they have a beautiful flower print on one side and are plain black on the reverse. Both fabrics are organic cotton.

Pirate Baby Blankie

Here's the first of two baby blankets I made this summer for some friends who are due this fall. It is pirate-themed for my friend and her boyfriend who do shows on the local pirate radio station. The back is red minkie.

Quilted Coasters

I made these from the pattern Last Minute Patchwork and Quilted Gifts for my parents for their anniversary. My first attempt at quilting!
